English | Duration: 56m | FLV | 852×480 | 25 fps 720 kbps | MP3 44100Hz 128 kbps Stereo | 4.81GB
Genre: eLearning

In this single-episode production, Rob dives into the various aspects of working with “modern” Javascript. Syntax rules aren’t discussed in-depth as the focus of this screencast is to get you up to speed with what’s happening in the Javascript world. If you’re a web developer and only dabbled with Javascript – or if you’re a .NET developer (*especially* if you’re a .NET developer) – understanding Javascript is becoming increasingly important. That’s the goal of this screencast: getting you up to speed so you can explore the Javascript world confidently.
Quick Start
In this, the only episode, we discuss why you should care about Javascript, some of the quirks of the language, good habits like unobtrusive Javascript, namespacing and the module pattern, and finally a bit of a teaser for CoffeeScript.

Great video and just at the right time.I was just attending your London semanir, and had some really great experience in London at that time. Will be sending you the story shortly. And I was just reviewing a date from London and this process which I just learned; opened up so many new possibilities and windows for improvement. Before I had no problems reviewing what worked, as it is obvious. On the other hand I have had some challenges in noticing what I could do beeterNow, after the process, I even discovered one thing which worked, but I haven’t noticed before, that was even there.Thank you Ross, for that bit of information, really looking forward to apply it on all fields of learning in life. I do like the insights.
